Chad Sebroski is a fully licensed music educator and freelance performer with more than thirteen years of full-time teaching experience working with students of all ages. Specializing in drumset, piano, bass, guitar, and jazz vibraphone, Chad offers individualized instruction grounded in the belief that anyone can learn music.His teaching approach is holistic, student-centered, and rooted in a growth mindset. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, pace, and learning style, with an emphasis on measurable process goals, supportive accountability, and steady progress through appropriate challenges. In addition to developing instrumental technique and musical understanding, Chad helps students build effective practice strategies and performance mindset skills that support confident, authentic collaboration with other musicians.Chad began studying drums privately at age nine and quickly developed a love for not only the instrument, but the journey of personal growth through music. He went on to study drumset and classical percussion at the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center, then earned a degree in Music Education from Slippery Rock University with an emphasis in classical percussion, jazz, and world music. He later completed a Master’s degree in Performance at West Virginia University, with advanced study in jazz, world percussion, classical percussion, and chamber percussion.Throughout his career, Chad has taught in a wide range of settings, including private lessons, ensemble instruction, and classroom music. His experience includes teaching steel pan, African hand drumming, taiko, batucada, percussion ensembles, marching bands, chamber choirs, musical theater, concert bands, jazz combos, and orchestra, as well as group and individual instruction in subjects such as drums, piano, bass, guitar, ukulele, voice, music theory, composition, digital music, lyrical songwriting, music history, and much more.Known for a thoughtful, encouraging, and goal-oriented teaching style, Chad helps students identify challenges, develop strategies for overcoming them, and discover joy in the learning process. His goal is not only to help students become stronger musicians, but to help them grow into confident, creative, and well-rounded lifelong artists.
